LASUBEB Trains Management Staff in Intranet Systems

The Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board (LASUBEB), has organised a training workshop for its management staff on Intranet Solutions and Personnel Management Systems.

Speaking during the workshop held at the LASUBEB Hall, Maryland, the Executive Chairman of LASUBEB, Mr. Wahab Alawiye-King, stated that the training was aimed at teaching the Management Staff on how to run a paperless office where meetings and training sessions are held virtually, while calls, task, assignments and memos can be assigned, disseminated and received digitally.

He added that the training was to improve efficiency in service delivery through digital transformation.

He disclosed that the Board is determined to transform and upscale its operating system by digitising and digitalising its activities to improve productivity in all aspects of its duties.

While applauding Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for supporting the Basic Education sector, including approving the procurement of IT gadgets and upgrading of computer centres in SUBEB and all the Local Government Education Authorities in the State, the LASUBEB boss explained that the digital transformation is in line with the third pillar of the T.H.E.M.E.S. Agenda – ‘Education and Technology’.

Alawiye-King, therefore, implored all members of staff to get acquainted with the system to ensure necessary advancement in technology and effective service delivery.

He said, “It is a new era and we all have to join the moving train.”
