A lawmaker, Ogunsola Anthony, has urged students to prioritise academic excellence and pursue their dreams as they navigate their educational journeys.
Ogunsola, representing Iwajowa Consistency in the Oyo State House of Assembly spoke on Monday during a visit to centres for summer lessons organised by him across Iwajowa Local Government Area.
In a statement sent to Edugist, the legislator emphasised the importance of hard work, dedication, and a clear vision for success, encouraging students to make the most of their opportunities and strive to achieve their full potential.
Addressing a gathering of young scholars, the lawmaker highlighted the critical role education plays in shaping future leaders and innovators.
He called on students to “remain focused on their studies and to chase their dreams with determination,” reminding them that success is attainable through perseverance and a commitment to personal growth.
“This is a period to refocus on your studies, and discover what you want to do and become in life. You are the future leaders and we expect you to be committed and serious with your studies.”
Ogunsola noted that the summer coaching, which started on August 12 will end on August 30 with preparation for the next summer beginning almost immediately.
Some of the summer coaching canters visited include, Ilupeju Community Grammar School, Iwere-Ile, Iwajowa High School, Ijio, Iganna Community Grammar School, Iganna and Elekokan Community Grammar School, Elekokan in Iwajowa Local Government Area of Oyo State.
