The General Overseer of the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM) Worldwide, Dr Daniel Olukoya, has dedicated a newly constructed one-storey chapel donated to King’s College, Lagos, by the MFM Tent Makers Pastoral Ministry, Lagos Region 15 (Victoria Island). The dedication ceremony was graced by senior MFM pastors, members of the college management, teachers, and students, marking another milestone in the ministry’s commitment to supporting education and moral development in Nigeria.

Addressing students and staff during the event, Olukoya underscored that true greatness is not achieved through social status or influence but through divine favour, discipline, and mastery of one’s purpose. He reminded the students that success is not about privilege but about preparation and divine timing.

“God does not need VIPs to promote you,” he told the students. “He can use somebody you don’t even know, somebody small, to move you to your next level.”

Sharing his personal experience of divine intervention, Olukoya recounted how he secured a Commonwealth Scholarship to study in the United Kingdom despite submitting his application two months late. He recalled being ridiculed and rejected by officials, only to be helped unexpectedly by a humble messenger who introduced him to the very official in charge of the scholarship process.

“That was how I got the opportunity,” he said, adding that his story was a reminder that God can use anyone, regardless of their position, to open doors of destiny.

The cleric outlined three key pillars of success that he said every young person must embrace to achieve lasting greatness: mastery, excellence, and purpose.

“First, if you want to be great in any subject, you must be a master of that subject,” he advised. “Second, whatever you know how to do, do it well. When you do, people will cross borders to find you. And third, every human being created by God is a solution to a problem. Once you discover that problem, people will come looking for you.”

He encouraged the students to take their education seriously, pursue diligence in their studies, and use their knowledge to contribute meaningfully to society. “Education is one of the greatest tools God has given humanity to fulfil destiny. When combined with faith, discipline, and purpose, it can transform lives and nations,” he said.

The newly donated chapel, constructed and equipped by the MFM Tent Makers Pastoral Ministry, will serve as a place of worship and moral development for students and staff of King’s College. The project aligns with MFM’s broader vision of integrating spiritual growth with educational development to build disciplined, value-driven youth.

In his remarks, Pastor Clement Imoru, who led the delegation of MFM Tent Makers Pastoral Ministry, described the donation as part of the ministry’s ongoing efforts to support educational institutions through infrastructure, mentorship, and spiritual guidance. “This chapel is a gift to King’s College, but more importantly, it is a gift to the next generation,” he said. “We believe that when young people have a place to connect with God, they find strength to excel academically and morally.”

The Principal of King’s College, alongside the Vice Principal and senior teachers, expressed deep appreciation to the MFM leadership for the chapel, describing it as a “symbol of faith, partnership, and investment in the moral development of the Nigerian youth.”

He noted that the college has long benefited from partnerships that promote holistic education and commended the MFM for demonstrating commitment to both spiritual and academic advancement. “This chapel will not only serve as a place of worship but as a centre for reflection, values formation, and community building,” the Principal said.

The MFM Tent Makers Pastoral Ministry has a strong record of engaging in similar educational support projects. In recent years, it has built and donated facilities to institutions such as the University of Lagos Staff School, Methodist Boys High School, and Queen’s College, all aimed at improving learning environments and fostering moral and spiritual growth among students.

As the ceremony ended, Dr Olukoya prayed for the students, urging them to remember that success built on godly principles endures beyond titles and achievements. “When you combine knowledge with godliness,” he said, “you become unstoppable.”
