The search for Oladipupo Siwajuola, a student of Babcock University, Ilishan-Remo, ended on a hopeful note after his distraught mother, Fijabi Oyindamola Omotayo, confirmed on Saturday that her son had been found.

Omotayo, who had earlier taken to social media in a desperate bid to locate her son, shared the good news in a Facebook post, simply stating: “My son has been found.”

The Director of Marketing and Communications at Babcock University, Dr. Joshua Suleiman, also confirmed the development on Sunday in response to inquiries by our correspondent. In a brief WhatsApp message, he said: “Yes, we are aware.”

While the circumstances surrounding the student’s disappearance and recovery remain unclear as of press time, the news has brought relief to many who followed the story with concern.

Before the announcement, Omotayo had made a tearful live broadcast on Facebook, appealing to the public and security agencies for help. She recounted how she personally dropped her son off at the university on Sunday evening, April 27, 2025, and had not heard from him since.

“The members of the public should please help tell Babcock University to produce my son. I dropped him off at the school by myself on Sunday evening, but for the past three days, I have not been able to sleep as I cannot find my son,” she said, visibly distressed.

The public outcry and emotional appeal appear to have amplified efforts to find the missing student, though more information is still awaited on what led to his disappearance and how he was eventually found.
