MTN launches 2024 scholarship programme opportunities for Nigerian students in STEM, beyond

The Federal Ministry of Education has announced the opening of applications for the 2024 MTN Scholarship Programme, inviting qualified Nigerian students to apply.

This prestigious programme offers financial support in three distinct categories aimed at empowering students across various academic disciplines.

The MTN Science and Technology Scholarship (MTN STS) is available for 300-level students pursuing degrees in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).

Applicants must maintain a CGPA of 3.5 or its equivalent. This scholarship aims to support the academic pursuits of students in STEM fields, providing financial aid to foster innovation and development in these critical areas.

The MTN Scholarship for Blind Students (MTN SBS) is open to 200 and 300-level blind students. Applicants can be studying any course but must maintain a CGPA of 2.5 or its equivalent. This initiative ensures that visually impaired students receive the necessary financial support to excel in their studies, regardless of their chosen field.

The Top Ten UTME Scholarship is for the top ten scoring candidates in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), as announced by the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB). Recipients of this scholarship receive funding from their 100-level through to graduation, provided they meet ongoing grade requirements. This category celebrates and supports Nigeria’s highest academic achievers at the secondary school level.

Applications for the MTN Science and Technology Scholarship (MTN STS) phase 13 and MTN Scholarship for Blind Students (MTN SBS) phase 11 are now open. Interested and eligible students can find more information and apply online by visiting [www.mtn.ng/scholarships](http://www.mtn.ng/scholarships).

The deadline for submission of online applications is June 12, 2024. For further inquiries, applicants can contact the Federal Scholarship Board at 08032000969.

This scholarship programme underscores MTN’s commitment to supporting education and fostering academic excellence among Nigerian youth.
