The National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools, Mowe Unit, Ogun State, has held a special celebration on Wednesday to honor the highest scorer in the 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), Kamisiochukwu Umeh from Deeper Life High School, Mowe.
Umeh achieved an impressive score of 360 in the 2023 UTME. Folorunsho Famiro, the unit coordinator of NAPPS Mowe, emphasised the significance of the July monthly meeting, as it provided an opportunity to celebrate Umeh, who is a student at a school affiliated with NAPPS Mowe Unit.
Umeh, accompanied by the Director of Education, Mr. Emmanuel Akomolafe, the Senior School Principal, Mr. Michael Ajala, and the Junior School Admin Officer, Mr. Oladimeji Olumide, attended the meeting hosted at the Transformation International Schools in Mowe.
Famiro expressed, “Today is a unique occasion as we honor the top scorer in the 2023 JAMB examination, Miss Umeh Nkechinyere Precious from Deeper Life High School. We are celebrating one of our outstanding students, and we have recognised her achievements by presenting a token of appreciation for her hard work and intelligence.”
He further advised students to persevere and strive for success, assuring them that hard work pays off and attracts recognition.
During the meeting, Mr. Abiola Odewole, the Zonal OE of Obafemi-Owode Local Government, urged school owners to promptly remit returns. He also encouraged schools to participate in competitions, emphasising the importance of maintaining high standards in education.
Moses Babatunde, the immediate past coordinator of NAPPS Mowe-Ofada Unit, expressed delight in the celebration of Umeh’s accomplishments. He regarded the attendance of the Zonal Education Officer at the meeting as a significant event in NAPPS history.
Oluwatoyin Komolafe, the immediate past chairman of NAPPS Obafemi Owode, echoed the sentiments, emphasising the value of acknowledging Umeh’s success and the significance of the occasion.
