The Nigeria Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) has aannounced that students from an additional 22 state-owned tertiary institutions are now eligible to apply for student loans through its online portal at nelf.gov.ng.
This expansion follows a thorough review conducted by the committee overseeing the Student Verification System, which is dedicated to ensuring that students from eligible institutions have access to essential financial support for their education. Prior to this latest announcement, 86 state-owned institutions had already been granted access, bringing the total number of institutions cleared for loan applications to an impressive 108.
With this initiative, NELFUND aims to alleviate the financial burdens faced by students across Nigeria, making higher education more accessible to a broader demographic. The move is expected to empower countless students to pursue their academic goals without the constraints of financial limitations.
Students are encouraged to visit the NELFUND portal to find more information on the application process and eligibility requirements, as this new development marks a crucial step towards fostering a more inclusive educational environment in the country.
