NUC Approves Edo University for Post-graduate Programmes

Edo State University Uzairue, formerly known as Edo University Iyamho, has commenced admission into postgraduate programme for the 2020/2021 academic session after getting approval from the National Universities Commission (NUC).

The commencement came as a sequel to the graduation of two sets of students and a resource verification visit to the University by the National Universities Commission in November 2020.

Approval of the university was for postgraduate Diplomas, Masters and Doctors of Philosophy in Economics, History and International Studies and Political Science. Others include; Biochemistry, Computer Science, and Microbiology and postgraduate Diplomas, Masters in Accounting

Graduate students from around the country are hereby, advised to visit the University’s website for more details and procedures to obtain the postgraduate admission form for the commencement of their programmes.

The University has well-equipped laboratories/studios as well as conducive classrooms for teaching and learning.

They also have a flexible payment structure for students intending to study in the Edo State University, Uzairue Postgraduate School.

The modern public institution has continued to achieve great heights within its five years of its existence.

Also, it is the first University in West Africa to adopt CANVAS learning management system and having completed the 2019/2020 academic session using the CANVAS LMS at the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic.

It is also worthy of note that it has commenced academic activities for her undergraduate programmes for the 2020/2021 academic session. Students are gradually resuming physically for their lectures.

Admission slots are still available in some departments in the University. Thus, intending students who wrote the last JAMB UTME examination are advised to visit the school’s website with their parents, to complete an admission request form. It will enable them to join the university and enjoy an uninterrupted academic sojourn in a World-Class University.
