After a year of impactful work across three states, the LearnovateFlip Project, implemented by Quality Education Development Associates (QEDA) with support from Oando Foundation, has successfully closed out, leaving behind a legacy of improved learning outcomes, community empowerment, and strengthened education systems.
The close-out ceremony, attended by education stakeholders, parents, beneficiaries, partners, and media, provided an opportunity to showcase the project’s achievements and highlight its far-reaching impact on public primary education in Sokoto, Ebonyi, and Plateau States.
The project, which covered six Local Government Areas (two per state) and directly supported 60 public primary schools (20 per state), recorded impressive results:

Capacity Development: A total of 312 teachers and 110 head teachers/administrative staff received intensive training to enhance classroom engagement and improve school administration, setting the stage for stronger learning outcomes.
Impact of the Oando Foundation on Education

Learning Materials: 19,292 teaching and learning materials (TLMs) and 21,600 supplementary reading materials (TRMs) were distributed, enriching classroom instruction and student learning experiences.

Community Reading Hubs: 120 Community Reading Hubs (CRHs) were established, serving 10,800 learners and providing spaces for children to strengthen literacy skills, revisit class lessons, and foster a culture of reading.

Out-of-School Children: 5,162 out-of-school children were re-enrolled into formal education, with 2,000 provided with back-to-school kits to support their reintegration and sustained attendance.

School Governance: 1,140 members of School-Based Management Committees (SBMCs) were trained and mentored, equipping them with skills to strengthen governance, accountability, and community participation in schools.

Speaking at the event, stakeholders commended the initiative for its comprehensive approach to education development, which combined teacher training, learning resource provision, child enrollment, and community engagement.
As the LearnovateFlip Project concludes, its legacy remains embedded in the strong foundations laid across participating communities. With empowered teachers, active SBMCs, equipped schools, and motivated learners, the impact of the project is expected to continue driving progress in the years ahead.
