OAUSTECH appoints four new professors, eleven readers

The Governing Council of Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology (OAUSTECH) in Okitipupa, Ondo State, has made significant strides in enhancing its academic framework.

In a notable 54th Regular Meeting held on September 10 and 11, 2024, the council approved the appointment of four distinguished Professors and eleven accomplished Readers, marking a pivotal moment in the university’s pursuit of academic excellence.

Expressing the university’s enthusiasm, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Temi Ologunorisa announced, “OAUSTECH is pleased to announce the appointment of distinguished academics to the positions of Professor and Reader.

“These esteemed scholars will bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to their respective departments, contributing significantly to academic excellence in the University.”

The newly appointed Professors are a testament to the university’s commitment to fostering expertise across various disciplines. They include:

Prof. D. T. Akomolafe (Department of Computer Science)
Prof. A. J. Ikuomola (Department of Computer Science)
Prof. I. O. Olaniyan (Department of Civil Engineering)
Prof. T. Ajewole (Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering)

In addition, the university has welcomed a dynamic group of eleven Readers who are poised to make impactful contributions in their fields. The newly appointed Readers are:

Dr. O. O. Elemile (Civil Engineering)
Dr. A. O. Oladimeji (Chemistry)

Dr. T. F. Ediagbonya (Chemistry)
Dr. D. A. Opeyemi (Civil Engineering)

Prof. Ologunorisa further emphasized the significance of these appointments, stating, “These appointments demonstrate OAUSTECH’s commitment to academic excellence and its dedication to providing students with the best possible education.”

He extended his heartfelt congratulations to the newly appointed professors and readers, recognizing their hard work and dedication in achieving these esteemed positions.
