Ogun schools commence unified promotion exams

..learners in all Public Primary schools across the state have been advised to study hard towards achieving success in the on going examinations

The Chairman, State Universal Basic Education Board, (SUBEB), Femi Majekodunmi made the call during a monitoring exercise to some primary schools in Obafemi Owode, Ikenne, Sagamu and Odogbolu Local Government Areas of the state. As schools commenced Unified Third Term Examination for 2022/2023 Academic Session.

Majekodunmi stated that government had put in place all the necessary facilities needed for the success of the examination, urged the learners to be serious with their academics, disciplined, law abiding and shun any act that would put their names and the State into disrepute.

SUBEB boss noted that all hands should be on deck to ensure that quality and affordable education programme of the present administration achieve desired result, expressing satisfaction at the level of preparation and conduct of the examination in all the schools visited.

He said the purpose of the exercise was to see how the examination was being conducted and from his observations, the teachers, learners were doing their best and enjoined parents and guardians to allow their wards to be punctual during the period of the exams.

Responding, the Headteacher of Obafemi Awolowo Nursery and Primary School, Ikenne, Mrs Ifonlaja Serifat, stated that the examination was hitch free, materials arrived on time and appreciated the Board for the visit, promised that teachers are ready to complement government’s effort towards achieving the desired goals of the present administration in the education sector.

Other schools visited are NUD. Nursery and Primary School, Owode, Asaru-Ud-Deen Primary School, Makun, Sagamu, Holy Trinity Primary School, Aiyepe, Odogbolu and Local Government Model Primary School, Odogbolu.
