A student of Choice De Immaculate Demonstration School (CIDS), Obosi, in Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State, Miss Saka Aliyat, has made history as the overall best graduating student of the school — excelling across multiple subjects, including Igbo language.

Aliyat, an indigene of Osun State, received awards in English, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Economics, and Marketing, as well as distinctions in character and discipline.

The Yoruba student, who also won prizes for Best in Neatest Uniform, Most Hardworking Student, Most Punctual, and Most Disciplined, went home with several gifts and accolades.

Aliyat urges students to stay focused
Speaking at the 15th Valedictory and Prize-Giving Ceremony of the school, Aliyat encouraged her fellow students to stay focused and diligent in their studies.

“Focus on your studies with interest, enthusiasm, and dedication,” she advised. “Follow the instructions of your teachers and the school director, who is my mentor, if you want to come out in flying colours.”

The Director of the School, Solomy Ochokwu, urged the graduating students to carry the school’s values of courage, resilience, integrity, and hard work into the next chapter of their lives.

“Wear the armour of resilience because the world will test you. And when it does, fight back — fight with integrity, honesty, and a relentless work ethic,” Ochokwu said.

She reminded them to remain grateful to their parents and to uphold the moral standards they were taught at CIDS, assuring them that success comes through discipline and gratitude.
