Osun govt enhances education access, rehabilitates community school

The Osun State government has reaffirmed its commitment to enhancing education projects accessible to all residents in the state.

This declaration came during the official inauguration of a rehabilitated block of four classrooms at Isale-Imole Community Primary School, situated in Ilobu, Irepodun Local Government Area.

The project was made possible through the collaborative efforts of the Osun Community and Social Development Agency (CSDA).

Representing Governor Ademola Adeleke at the ceremony, the Commissioner for Rural Development and Community Affairs, Ganiyu Olaoluwa, underscored the government’s unwavering dedication to motivating students to excel in a conducive learning environment while simultaneously boosting school enrollment.

Olaoluwa also appealed to both the local community and the school authority to prioritise the proper maintenance and sustainability of these newly rehabilitated classrooms, ensuring that future generations would benefit from this vital infrastructure.

The General Manager of the Osun Community and Social Development Agency (CSDA), Aderonke Funmi Abokede, highlighted the agency’s continuous commitment to enhancing school facilities at Community Primary Schools throughout the state.

She revealed that “these improvements are being carried out as part of the COVID-19 Recovery and Economic Stimulus programmr, known as ‘Osun Cares,’ which is a world bank intervention programme aimed at supporting communities during the pandemic’s aftermath.”

Abokede emphasised that the successful inauguration of the rehabilitated classrooms was primarily thanks to the funding provided by Governor Ademola Adeleke.

This investment shows the government’s commitment to ensuring quality education and improved infrastructure, ultimately contributing to the betterment of the state and its residents.

The rehabilitation of Isale-Imole Community Primary School serves as a beacon of hope, not only for the students who will benefit from a more conducive learning environment but also for the entire Osun State community, as it symbolises the government’s dedication to fostering growth and development through education.
