The Oyo State Post-Primary Schools Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) has announced the commencement of its screening exercise, distribution of appointment letters, and documentation for newly recruited teachers. The exercise is set to begin on Monday, 30 December 2024, across the state.

TESCOM released a detailed list of requirements that prospective candidates must bring to the screening venue to ensure a smooth process. These include:

1. A printout of the congratulatory letter.

2. Birth certificate or declaration of age.

3. Evidence of local government of origin.

4. Original academic certificates and credentials.

5. NYSC certificate, letter of exception, or attestation.

6. Change of name documents (if applicable).

7. Evidence of medical test from a government-approved hospital (to be submitted later).

8. Two recent passport photographs.

9. Two office files with two photocopies of all required documents.

TESCOM also clarified that all zonal postings will be centrally managed by its Headquarters to ensure a transparent and equitable process. The Commission strongly stated that swapping of zonal postings at the local level will not be permitted.

The exercise marks a significant step in strengthening the teaching workforce across Oyo State, reflecting the government’s commitment to improving education standards.

Newly recruited teachers have been advised to prepare their documentation in advance and comply with the Commission’s directives to facilitate an efficient process.
