PICTORIAL: 2023 UONGOZI essay contest winner receives $2k prize in Ghana

Faizah Muhammad, winner of the 2023 UONGOZI essay contest organised by the Institute of Tanzania for young Africans between the ages of 18 and 25, has received her $2,000 prize in Ghana.

She received the prize at the 7th African Leadership Forum held between May 25 to 26, 2023 in Accra, Ghana. The event was graced by dignitaries including the former President of Tanzania H.E Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete; the Secretary General of African Continental Free Trade Area Secretariat, Wamkele Mane and former Presidents of Nigeria Olusegun Obasanjo and Goodluck Ebele Jonathan.

Recall that Muhammad defeated 1,150 participants from over 30 African countries.
