The police were alerted through the Divisional Police Headquarters, Offa, around 5:20 p.m. on November 16.

Commissioner of Police Victor Olaiya, in a statement released on Sunday in Ilorin, disclosed that initial investigations at the crime scene revealed disturbing marks of violence on the victim’s face and neck.

The deceased was swiftly transported to Wale Clinic and Hospital, where a medical practitioner certified her dead.

The body now rests in the mortuary, awaiting an autopsy to shed light on the circumstances surrounding the young student’s tragic end.
