Protest: LASU resumes academic activities

The management of the Lagos State University LASU, Ojo, has asked staff and students of the institution to resume academic and other activities from Tuesday, August 6, 2024.

In a statement on Tuesday evening by the Coordinator, Centre for Information and Public Relations, Mrs Oluwayemisi Thomas-Onashile, said the action followed a review of the prevailing situation in the country.

“By this directive, the initial suspension on activities on the university campuses announced on Wednesday, 31st July 2024, and Thursday, 1st August 2024, respectively, is hereby lifted.
“Members of staff and students are therefore expected back on campus on Tuesday, 6th August 2024.

“Management, however, urges members of the university community to continue to be vigilant upon resumption on Tuesday as their well-being is of utmost importance.”
