Rector of The Polytechnic, Ibadan, Dr Taiwo Lasisi, has hailed a former student and founder of Lekan Adisa Foundation, Dr. Lekan Adisa, for donating a modern convenience facility to the school.

Speaking on behalf of the polytechnic management during the official handing over of the facility, the rector said the initiative was a response to the call that alumni of the institution should give back to the school to aid its academic and structural development.

“I express the polytechnic management’s appreciation and commendation to Adisa for his generosity, support and invaluable contribution to the development of the institution,” he said.

Responding Adisa expressed his gratitude to the Department of Public Administration for its contribution to his development when he was a student.

He said: “This project represents my contribution to the development of the school. Through the foundation I have established for the development of mankind. More projects will be executed in the school.

“My advice is that alumni of this great institution should commit themselves to the cause of the school and give back to it, to reflect a deep sense of responsibility towards societal development.”

Adisa added that the event marked an important step in promoting environmental development within the institution to foster a conducive learning environment for students.
