Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has approved the appointment of security expert Dr. Ayodele Ogunsan as the new Executive Secretary of the Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF).
The appointment, announced in a circular signed by the Head of Service, Mr. Bode Agoro, on Friday, takes immediate effect.
According to the statement, Ogunsan’s appointment aligns with the Sanwo-Olu administration’s ongoing efforts to strengthen the State’s security framework and ensure the continued protection of lives and property across Lagos.
Governor Sanwo-Olu also commended the outgoing Executive Secretary, Dr. Abdurrazaq Balogun, for his outstanding service and dedication to the LSSTF.
“Mr. Governor extends his sincere appreciation to Hon. Dr. Abdurrazaq Balogun for his formidable and invaluable contributions to the development and achievements of the Security Trust Fund, while wishing him the very best in his future endeavours,” the statement read.
In a related development, Governor Sanwo-Olu has constituted a new Governing Council for the Lagos State University (LASU) as part of his administration’s commitment to enhancing governance and academic excellence in the State’s tertiary institutions.
The newly appointed Governing Council will be chaired by Mr. Babatunde Ogala (SAN). Other members include Mr. Oluseyi Badmus, Mr. Bode Makanjuola, Mrs. Mojisola Tolagbe Taiwo, Prof. Shaffudeen Amuwo, Alhaji Rafiu Adisa Ebiti (FCA), Ms. Kofo Durosimi-Etti, Dr. Farouk Gumel, Mrs. Adenike Akanbi (FCA), Mr. Biodun Hundeyin, and Dr. Remi Desalu.
The announcement of the new LASU Council was also contained in the statement issued by the Head of Service on Friday.
