The wife of the Lagos State Governor, Dr. Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, has urged students to embrace diligence, discipline, and the right values as key ingredients for achieving success in life.
According to a statement obtained on Thursday, Ibijoke spoke through the former Tutor-General and Permanent Secretary of Education District II, Anike Adekanye, during Promasidor Nigeria’s Harness Your Dream career guidance initiative in Lagos.
She emphasised that education remains the strongest foundation for building a purposeful and impactful life.
“Success begins with a dream, but it is sustained by discipline, hard work, and the right values,” she said. “The mentorship you receive today is about discovering who you are, understanding your purpose, and believing that you can achieve greatness regardless of your background.”
She lauded Promasidor Nigeria, a food and beverage company, for sustaining the initiative, which she noted aligned with the Lagos State Government’s vision for youth empowerment and educational development.
“This initiative aligns perfectly with Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s vision, anchored on education, empowerment, and a brighter future for every child in Lagos State,” she said.
“The choices you make today are the seeds of the future you will harvest tomorrow.”
