Sen Tinubu renovates Yaba school, presents free uniforms to pupils

Senator Oluremi Tinubu, the first lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, has unveiled the newly renovated Sen Oluremi Tinubu Model Nursery and Primary School in Onike, Iwaya, Yaba LCDA.

The grand handing over and inauguration took place on Tuesday April 30th, 2024.

Hakeem Shittu, Executive Chairman of LASUBEB, expressed profound gratitude for the transformative initiative spearheaded by the Mother of the Nation.

He lauded the provision of school uniforms, cardigans, and school bags as a compassionate gesture that alleviates financial strain on families, enabling children to focus on learning without obstacles.

Shittu emphasised the impact of such interventions on the educational journey of pupils, underscoring the significance of access to quality education within a nurturing environment.

“Every child deserves the opportunity to thrive,” he affirmed, highlighting the pivotal role education plays in shaping the nation’s destiny.

The chairman extended sincere appreciation for the support directed towards enhancing the basic education sector, foreseeing a brighter future for Nigerian children.

He urged school administrators to uphold stewardship over the newly refurbished facilities, ensuring sustainable use and maintenance to sustain the legacy of this benevolent act.
