The Governor of Anambra State, Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo, has officially confirmed the appointment of Professor Kate Azuka Omenugha as the substantive vice-chancellor of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University (COOU), Anambra State.
According to a statement released by the University, the appointment was formally handed over to Prof. Omenugha by the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Solo Chukwulobelu, during a brief ceremony held at The Light House, Awka.
The University expressed joy over the development, writing:
“Congratulations…!!!”
Prof. Omenugha’s appointment is seen as a significant milestone for the institution and for higher education leadership in Anambra State.
Her emergence as Vice Chancellor is expected to drive continued growth and academic excellence at COOU.
