Students of Education District II shine at Eko Schools arts and craft competition

Students from Education District II once again showcased excellence at the Eko Schools Arts and Craft Competition organised by the Lagos State Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education. Adedoyin Israel Tobi from Government Junior Model College, Owutu, Ikorodu, emerged first in the junior category, while Kolawole Jubril from Ikorodu Junior Grammar School took second place. In the senior category, Mariam Omolewa from Oriwu Senior Model College secured third position, displaying creativity and artistic brilliance.

To celebrate their success, the Tutor-General/Permanent Secretary of Education District II, Mr. Omotayo Layewo Sanni, received the winners, their teachers, and principals at the District Headquarters. He commended the students for their hard work and talent, saying the event reflected their dedication and determination. According to him, their achievements mark the beginning of greater milestones ahead, urging them to continue striving for excellence in their future pursuits.

Mr. Sanni also appreciated the teachers and school administrators for their consistent mentorship and support. He reaffirmed the District’s commitment to nurturing creativity and promoting excellence, describing arts and crafts as vital tools for human development and economic growth. He encouraged educators to keep inspiring students to explore their creative potential.

The outstanding performance of Education District II once again underscores its tradition of excellence and its dedication to producing well-rounded students who distinguish themselves not only in academics but also in creativity, innovation, and skill development.
