SUG Constructs Borehole for Students

The Students Union Government (SUG) of Adeyemi College of Education(ACE), Ondo, has provided a borehole for students of the institution.

Disclosing this on Thursday 30th January 2020, representative of the SUG, Oluwatobi Adebusoye, said the borehole was constructed to help resolve the challenges of water shortage confronting the students on campus.

“This water project would improve students’ access to potable water, he said.

During 2018/2019 academic session, students were unable to get water and as students union, we decided that something must be done to prevent recurrence of such challenge.

The SUG president, who did not disclose the actual cost of the project, however, said they got the borehole done with the support of the management of the institution.

He, therefore, appealed to his fellow students who are still in the school to maintain and make proper use of the borehole.

The Provost of the institution, Dr. Samuel Akintunde, commended the students’ union for coming up with a reasonable idea.

“I want to advise that they should always give peace a chance and they should also run away from vice such as cultism, rape among others,” he advised.

The Provost also urged the student union body coming behind to take a cue from what the outgoing executives have done for the institution.
