Teacher goes from earning 4k per month to become business founder

In a shocking revelation, a former primary school teacher in Lagos, Chinoso Ogbobu has opened up about the meager salary he received during his time at a school in Ajegunle.

Chinoso Ogbobu who is now the founder of Sabi writers,currently employs 40 people and made this known via his Facebook account.

He revealed that as a primary school teacher he was paid N4000 per month for his services.

Recalling his experience, the teacher shared that she felt embarrassed when the school proprietor handed her the money in front of the students.

The children, who were curious about the cash, started circling her and asking for some of it.

This incident highlights the dire state of teachers salaries in many parts of Nigeria.

Despite being an essential profession, teachers in the country are often grossly underpaid, leading to demotivation and a lack of quality education for students.

The Nigerian government has been urged to take immediate steps to address this issue and ensure that teachers are paid a fair wage for their services.
