Tiamiyu Nimotalah Olamide: A beacon of excellence and leadership at Al-Ameen College

From her humble beginnings in Eruwa, Oyo State, to her current role as a senior prefect girl in SSS3, Olamide’s journey is defined by dedication and a commitment to academic and personal growth. With a passion for learning and a knack for competition, she has represented her school in various contests, showcasing her talents in fields ranging from mathematics to agriculture.

Despite her affinity for chemistry, it was in physics where she soared, achieving an impressive score in her UTME examination. Beyond academics, Olamide finds joy in hobbies like gaming, reading, and cycling, all while living by the mantra, “Whatever is worth doing at all is worth doing well.” With her eyes set on a bright future, Olamide is poised to make a lasting impact on the world around her. Can you tell us a bit about yourself and your role at Al-Ameen College?

Tiamiyu Nimotalah Olamide: My name is Tiamiyu Nimotalah Olamide, and I am proud to be a senior prefect girl at Al-Ameen College, where I am currently in SSS3.

Where are you originally from, and where do you currently reside?

Originally from Eruwa, Oyo State, I now reside in Abeokuta, Ogun State. Born on the 15th of March, 2008, my journey has been marked by dedication and a commitment to excellence.

You have represented your school in various competitions. Can you tell us more about these experiences?

Throughout my academic career, I have represented Al-Ameen College in various competitions, showcasing my skills and knowledge in several fields. I have participated in the JETS competition, the Brightest National Agricultural Science Contest, and the Erudite Mathematics Competition, among others. These experiences have not only broadened my horizons but also reinforced my passion for learning and academic excellence.

Nimotalah’s UTME Score

How did you discover your affinity for chemistry during your UTME preparation?

As I prepared for the UTME, I discovered my affinity for chemistry. It quickly became my favorite subject due to its clarity and the ease with which I understood it.

Despite chemistry being your favourite, you achieved your highest score in physics. How did that feel?

To my surprise, I achieved my highest score in physics. Through prayer and hard work, I scored an impressive 338 on the examination, a testament to my dedication and perseverance.

What activities do you enjoy outside of academics?

Beyond academics, I have a love for fun activities. My hobbies include playing games, reading, and watching movies. I also enjoy cycling, which provides a great balance to my studies and helps me stay active and energized.

Is there a particular quote that motivates you?

A quote that continually motivates me is, “Whatever is worth doing at all is worth doing well.” This mantra drives me to put my best effort into everything I undertake, ensuring that I strive for excellence in all aspects of my life.

What are your aspirations for the future?

As I look ahead, I am excited about the future and the opportunities that lie ahead. With a strong foundation in academics and a balanced approach to life, I am confident that I will achieve my goals and make a positive impact on the world around me.
