Two UNILAG Students top in LAF Competition

Two final year students of the department of Architecture at the University of Lagos, Ayavga Aondover and Atunrase Olukayode, have emerged winners at Lagos Architects Forum, (LAF).

The duo defeated seven other contestants from four different universities. They have clinched the two top spots on the winners table in the LAF 12.0 Students Charrette Competition, which held on Thursday, May 6, 2021 at Eko Hotels and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.

Ayavga Aondover pulled the highest score in the contest and Atunrase Emmanuel won the second prize.

The students were rewarded with cash rewards and other gifts including free tickets to attend the end of the year dinner of the Nigerian Institute of Architects, Lagos State Chapter.

Vice-Chancellor, University of Lagos; Professor Oluwatoyin Ogundipe, FAS, expressed his congratulatory message to both winners for sustaining the University’s string of excellence at competitions.

Abdulafeez Olaitan is the Campus Ambassador for Unilag. He is a writer who served as a delegate of Austria in ECOSOC committee at the 2020 IBMUN conference. Olaitan enjoys collecting quotations and astrophotos.
