The Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC) and the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) have held a Project Appraisal Meeting to review the progress of the ongoing Bilingual Education Schools Project being implemented across nine states in Nigeria.
Speaking after the session, UBEC Executive Secretary, Dr. Aisha M. Garba, said she joined officials of the Bank and other key education stakeholders for the crucial review aimed at strengthening collaboration and ensuring the success of the initiative.
“Yesterday, I joined officials of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) for a Project Appraisal Meeting on the ongoing Bilingual Education Schools Project across nine states,” Dr. Garba said.
She explained that the meeting brought together representatives from the IsDB Headquarters in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, the Regional Hub Office in Abuja, and the International Economic Relations Department (IERD) of the Federal Ministry of Finance.
According to her, the discussions reaffirmed the shared commitment of all parties to advance access to quality basic education for every Nigerian child.
“All stakeholders remain united in advancing access to quality basic education for every Nigerian child,” Dr. Garba added.
The Bilingual Education Schools Project, supported by the Islamic Development Bank, forms part of ongoing efforts to improve learning outcomes and promote inclusive, quality education across Nigeria.
