UDUS: ELSSA presents environmental sanitation, invites members

The English and Literary Studies Students’ Association of Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto (ELSSA-UDUS) has invited its members to its environmental sanitation.

According to the flier released by the association, the exercise which is tagged ‘Operation Keep DELS Clean is scheduled to hold on Thursday, 2nd of November, 2023 at exactly 10 O’clock in the morning.

In an interview with Pen Press, the president of the association, Ibrahim Mubarak said the exercise is geared towards ensuring a safe environment for learning.

“For a learning to take place, there are things needed for its achievement and one of them is conducive environment,

The leadership of DELS (Department of English and Literary Studies) thus presents ‘operation keep DELS clean,” he said.

While calling on all the members of the department to join the cleaning exercise of the department, Mubarak mentioned the awareness of the HOD and Staff Adviser of the department.

“Our staff advicer, Dr. Balkisu Kigo; Head of Department, Dr. Abubakar Alkali and other lecturers at the helm of the department’s affairs are all aware of this impactful exercise,” he noted.

“We thus demand that every ELSSITE attend the upcoming ELSSA sanitation day,” Mubarak said.
