The Senate of Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto has reiterated its ban on ‘sign-out’, the activity outgoing university students engage in to celebrate their final exam, and unauthorised ceremonies on campus.

The Senate at its 352nd meeting held on Thursday, April 27, 2023, considered with serious concern the new culture of ‘sign-out’ and other unauthorised ceremonies on the campus.

This development is contained in a memo released by the Chief Security Officer of Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto who said such activities are hereby banned forthwith as they constitute nuisance to the peace of university.

“To this end, the Security Division will apprehend any perpetrators for appropriate disciplinary measures,” the CSO added.
