UDUS SU CTC chairman resigns from office

The Chairman of the Caretaker Committee(CTC) for Students’ Union (SU) in Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto, Mohammed Shamshudeen Umar has voluntarily resigned from the office.

In a letter addressed to the Vice Chancellor of the University through the Dean Students Affairs and titled ‘Voluntary Resignation, the chairman said he believed he had delivered as far the struggle and affairs of the students are concerned.

The letter, released on Friday, 26th May read thus: “With much respect and Honourable, I wish to notify you on the above subject,”the letter reads.

“Also, I want to thank the management for giving me the opportunity to serve in the Students’ Union. I believe that I have done my best in justifying the confidence reposed on me with regard to the students’ struggle.”

“Accordingly, I also like to seek forgiveness from the university community for any inconveniences I might have caused during the course of my service in the university from 2nd June, 2021 to 26th May, 2023.”

Meanwhile, the chairman is yet to reveal the reason for his resignation to the university community.
