UNIBEN to Resume 2019/2020 Academic Session Feb. 1
The management of the University of Benin (UNIBEN) has revealed plans to resume the 2019/2020 academic session by Feb.1, 2021.
The announcement was made by the Public Relations Officer of the university, Dr Benedicta Ehanire in a statement issued on Tuesday in Benin.
Ehanire through the statement said, students are expected to come into the hostels on the day of resumption. She also said that lectures, both physical and online, will commence immediately.
Speaking further, Ehanire said only students with official receipts of payment of school charges in sessions pertaining to them and had successfully filled, submitted and printed the on-line questionnaire required of them would be allowed into hostels and lecture theatres.
She also informed that students staying in the school hostels were expected to have, at least, five pieces of reusable face masks and two 5mls phial of hand sanitiser each.
Stressing the commitment of the university in compliance to the COVID-19 protocols, Ehanire said that members of staff and students were to constantly wear their face masks.
“The Vice-Chancellor of the university, Prof. Lilian Salami, on behalf of management, looks forward to welcoming all students to campus for a more fulfilling academic session,” she stated.
