Reacting to the incidents, one of the students at the scene who pleaded anonymity said; it is quite unfortunate that a lecturer could stoop so low to this disdainful attitude that has almost cost an innocent student her life.

“Unfortunately, the wood landed on the head of the girl. She was rushed to the hospital a few minutes later as her coursemates went over to alert the lecturer about what he has done but were shocked that he denied.”

However, A fight finally broke out between the final-year and the first-year male students after the lecturer locked them out to attend to the situation created by him.

Other sources claim that the allegedly attacked girl, Blessing, is a lecturer’s daughter and information regarding the man has been withheld to avoid further commotion although sources say his name is Anthony.

More details to come.
