West African Examination Council (WAEC) has released 2020 examination results for private candidates.
The statement released by the examination body on Tuesday 3rd March, 2020, stated that a total of 3,892 candidates obtained credits in five subjects including English Language and Mathematics.
The Head of National Office of WAEC, Mr. Olu Adenipekun stated that about 12,075 private candidates sat for the first series in Lagos. He added that only 32.23 per cent achieved the benchmark.
Adenipekun also noted that candidates could process their certificate on request, and they get it at their preferred location.
“Beginning with the WASSCE for Private Candidates, 2020-First Series, the collection of certificates would come on requests by candidates. The candidates will do this via the Electronic Certificate Management System platform. As a result, we have entered into a partnership with the Nigeria Postal Service (NIPOST),” he noted.
“Hence, with the Expedited Mail Delivery Service of NIPOST, candidates can receive their certificates in any State of the Federal Republic of Nigeria,” he added.
