WAEC sets August 5 for release of 2024 WASSCE results

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has officially announced that the eagerly awaited results for the 2024 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) will be released on August 5, 2024.

This announcement has been circulating widely online, bringing a mix of anticipation and relief to students and educators alike.

According to the announcement, WAEC has recognized that unexpected challenges contributed to the delay in releasing the results. In a statement, the council expressed its sincere apologies for the inconvenience caused and reassured all candidates that an impressive 99.5% of the SSCE results are ready for publication.

While the formal announcement has yet to be uploaded to the WAEC website, a reliable source from the council’s office in Kwara confirmed the accuracy of the news to Punch.

The source stated, “This is true. A statement should be up on the website and social media handle any moment from now.”

With just a few days to go before the results are made available online, students across the region are eagerly awaiting the outcome of their examinations.
