Wash Essay Competition: Lagos State Water Corporation awards prizes to winning schools

Lagos State Water Corporation has presented monetary awards to the successful schools that participated in the “Wash Essay Competition.”

This was announced in a statement released by the Ministry of Education on Wednesday May 31, 2023.

The formal presentation of the cheques took place on Tuesday May 30, 2023. The Nigerian Institution of Mechanical Engineers, represented by its National Chairman, Funmilade Akingbagbohun, and Engr. Agiri Mustapha, acting on behalf of the Managing Director of Lagos State Water Corporation, presented the cheques to the winning schools.

The “Wash Essay Competition” was organised on March 22, 2023, to commemorate this year’s World Water Day celebration.

The statement disclosed that Keke Senior High School in Ifako Ijaye, Lagos State emerged as the winner in the senior category, while Lagos State Junior Model College in Ojo emerged as the winner in the junior category.

“Keke Senior High School Ifako Ijaye, Lagos State emerged winner in the senior category of the essay competition while Lagos State Junior Model College Ojo emerged winner in the junior category,” the statement revealed.

The Principal of Keke High School, Mrs. Moritiwon Temitope, and Faluse Olufunmi, representing the Principal of Lagos State Junior Model College in Ojo, received the cheques on behalf of their respective schools.
