The Chairman of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Lagos State Chapter, Engr. Ibrahim Adigun, has commended the successful completion of a free, one-month intensive practical training programme for Lagos youths, organized by the Lagos Youth Development Institute (LYDI) in partnership with GIZ (German International Cooperation) and the Federal Ministry of Labour.
Speaking about the programme, Adigun noted that the graduation ceremony marked a significant step in empowering young people with practical skills for sustainable development.

“Earlier today, I attended the graduation ceremony of beneficiaries from the Lagos Youth Development Institute’s free one-month intensive practical training program[me],” he said.
He added that the initiative was made possible through a strategic collaboration between local and international bodies committed to youth development.
“This initiative was held in partnership with GIZ, German International Cooperation, and the Federal Ministry of Labour,” Adigun stated.
The training took place across two centers — the Lagos Youth House in Yaba and the GIZ Training Office in Obalande — accommodating hundreds of participants over the course of the program.
Reaffirming his dedication to youth-focused development, Adigun said: “We remain committed to implementing programs and projects that align with our P3+ Agenda and Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu’s THEMES+ Agenda, of ensuring that no one is left behind.”

He also extended his appreciation to the coordinators of the program for their dedication and leadership.
“Special thanks to the leadership of Lagos Youth Development Institute – LYDI for facilitating this wonderful initiative for the benefit of The Lagos State Government MYSD — Lagos State Ministry of Youth & Social Development.”
