The Ondo State Police Command has uncovered the horrifying murder of two undergraduates of the Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko (AAUA), revealing details of abduction, rape, and brutal execution that have sent shockwaves through the institution and the wider Akungba-Akoko community.
According to reports, the victims, Abah John Friday (25) and his friend Okah Andrel Eloho (19), were declared missing by fellow students on June 20, 2025.
Their disappearance sparked widespread concern and agitation, as students and residents feared the worst.

Following a petition filed on June 24, 2025, by G.O. Omoedu & Co. on behalf of Emmanuel Peter, the elder brother of one of the victims, the police launched a full-scale investigation.
The Commissioner of Police, Adebowale Lawal, while addressing journalists in Akure, disclosed the arrest of five suspects, including the landlord of one of the victims.
A Forensic Breakthrough
Forensic tracking of the victims’ belongings led detectives to Computer Village, Ikeja, Lagos, where an iPhone 14 Pro Max belonging to one of the deceased was recovered from Abdul Mohammed Mubarak (38).
Mubarak confessed to purchasing the phone from Ojo Michael, who was arrested in Aramoko-Ekiti. Police also recovered a Lexus RX 350 vehicle stolen from the victims.
Under interrogation, Ojo Michael admitted involvement in the abduction, robbery, and murder of the students. He revealed that the plot was orchestrated by Oladele Femi, landlord of Abah John Friday, who allegedly contracted him and another accomplice known as “Kola” (still at large) to execute the plan.
A Chilling Confession
The suspects held the victims captive, transferring N800,000 from their bank account. Michael also confessed to raping the female victim, Okah Eloho. Upon realizing she had identified him, the suspects decided to kill both victims to conceal their identities and crimes.

Their bodies were dumped at separate locations between Agbado and Ode-Ekiti.
Acting on the suspects’ confessions, police recovered the body of the female victim from a bush near Ode-Ekiti. Her corpse has been deposited at the General Hospital Mortuary for autopsy. Efforts are ongoing to recover the remains of the male victim, believed to have been disposed of in a river.
The commissioner described the incident as a brutal reminder of how betrayal and greed can end young lives prematurely. He assured the public that investigations are ongoing to apprehend the remaining suspect and ensure justice is served.
