The scheme is themed: “Grow With Sterling Initiative.” It is being executed in collaboration with the Nexford University, Washington DC, United States.

The scheme assures that the bank pays 65 per cent of the fees of school leavers to earn international undergraduate degrees in a maximum period of three years. This is also while engaged by Sterling Bank to serve in specific capacities in a work-study arrangement.

According to a statement by the Chief Human Resources Officer of Sterling Bank PLC, Temi Dalley, it noted that the programme is part of the bank’s new-to-the-world opportunities for young Nigerians. This would enable them access to quality and education at affordable cost while also gaining cognate work experience.

The statement also revealed that the financial institution will pay not less than 65 percent tuition fee of the learners admitted into the programme. Thus, marking a notable investment in the education of young Nigerians.

“Grow with Sterling” initiative is a co-branded social impact programme that will enable Nigerian secondary school leavers to further their education under a unique collaborative arrangement. With the bank as the financier and Nexford University as the learning provider,” Dalley noted

Dalley added that learners would get complimentary access to 20 percent tuition discount. They will also get free enrolment on online learning platforms, among other things.
