CLI College, Nigeria’s leading career college, marked a significant milestone with its 10th graduation in just four years.
Over 50 students from the Lagos campus received their certificates and diplomas, joining the institution’s prestigious alumni network of over 1,000 healthcare professionals since its inception in 2020.
Specialising in healthcare, business, technology, and creative fields, CLI College continues to make strides in Nigerian education. The latest cohort includes Healthcare Assistants and Mental Health & Addiction Counsellors, poised to make a significant impact in their respective fields both locally and internationally.
Angela Chizea, Head of the Health School at CLI College, opened the event with a heartfelt welcome address. She lauded the graduates’ dedication and emphasized the pivotal role of education in their professional journeys. “We acknowledge the critical role played by our college staff, whose tireless efforts and unwavering support have helped shape your journey. And to the families and loved ones who have supported our graduates every step of the way, we extend our heartfelt gratitude,” Chizea remarked.
Keynote speaker Odunayo Sanya, Executive Director and Board Member of MTN Foundation, underscored the private sector’s vital role in bridging the skills gap in Nigeria’s healthcare industry. “The private sector isn’t just about companies and tuition fees. It’s about organisations, institutions, and everyone coming together to make a difference in their communities,” Sanya stated.
She further highlighted that a robust healthcare system is essential for economic prosperity, noting, “A healthy workforce is essential for any economy. When there are issues with healthcare access, it erodes the talent pipeline, hindering economic growth.”
The ceremony’s highlight was the conferral of certificates and diplomas by Chizea, who praised the graduates for their unwavering commitment and hard work.
CLI College also used the occasion to announce the launch of new healthcare programs, including Health Office Administration, Developmental Support Worker, and Pharmacy Assistant. These new offerings aim to further enhance the skills and knowledge of healthcare professionals in Nigeria.
This graduation ceremony not only celebrated the achievements of the new graduates but also reinforced CLI College’s commitment to addressing the critical need for qualified healthcare professionals in Nigeria. The institution’s comprehensive programs empower graduates to embark on rewarding careers, making significant contributions to the national healthcare workforce.
