Governor Babagana Umara Zulum of Borno State has officially reappointed Bulama Kagu as the executive chairman of the Borno State Universal Basic Education Board (BSUBEB) for a second consecutive term.
This announcement was made by Bukar Tijani, the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), in a statement issued on Saturday from Maiduguri, the state capital.
The statement highlighted that Kagu’s reappointment was a direct result of his “exceptional performance during his first tenure.” It noted that under Kagu’s leadership, significant advancements had been made in the state’s basic education programmes, reflecting a positive trajectory in educational development.
Furthermore, the statement emphasized that this new term would provide Mr. Kagu with the opportunity to “build upon ongoing reforms” aimed at strengthening the educational system across Borno.
