The Lagos State University (LASU) has announced that the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) has disbursed loans to students whose applications were approved. In a direct and efficient approach, the funds have been credited straight into the students’ school fees accounts.
According to LASU, students who applied for the loan can check the status of their applications by entering their matriculation numbers on the NELFUND portal at https://lasu.edu.ng/nelfund.
“For students whose status appears as successful, please note that the Directorate of ICT has credited your school fees account directly with the NELFUND loan fund,” stated LASU. “You can now proceed to register for your first-semester courses for the 2024/2025 academic session and print your school fees receipts from your registration portal.”
Students with inquiries about their loan applications or details on how to apply for NELFUND are advised to send an email to director.interventions@lasu.edu.ng. For concerns related to school fees payment, students should contact director.ict@lasu.edu.ng.
This initiative reflects LASU commitment to ensuring students have access to financial support to ease the burden of tuition fees. By crediting the school fees accounts directly, LASU ensures transparency and expedites the registration process for beneficiaries.
Students are encouraged to verify their loan status promptly to proceed with their academic registrations without delay. LASU remains committed to supporting its students in their academic journey.
