The World Usability Design Challenge 2024 (WUI DC) is now open for applications, inviting designers from around the globe to participate in this prestigious competition.
With up to $3,000 in prizes, the challenge seeks innovative solutions that address some of the most pressing issues facing humanity today, from climate change to social justice.

In addition to the cash prizes, winners will receive complimentary registration to the 2024 HCI International Conference, where they will present their impactful design work. Winners also have the opportunity to publish their work in the conference proceedings as a paper or late-breaking results.
Eligibility:
The challenge is open to everyone, encouraging broad participation from the design community. Entries should be detailed reports that provide evidence of user research and evaluations, demonstrating how these insights have improved both product and process value. Submissions must align with the 2024 theme, “Designing for a Better World,” showcasing how user-focused design can contribute to significant improvements in digital products or services.
