Grace Adagba, the Executive Chairman of the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) in Benue, emphasized the importance of impacting the lives of the less-privileged. The event took place on Sunday at the NKST Church in Suswam Mbakunde, Vandeikya local government area, and also featured a fundraising campaign for the completion of the church.

Adagba shared her journey, reflecting on her life’s blessings while recognizing a persistent sense of unfulfillment due to her previous inability to provide adequate support to the less-privileged. She noted that her recent appointment as SUBEB Chairman has finally given her the platform to make a significant difference in the lives of those in need.

Attributing her elevation to the grace of God amidst stiff competition for the position, Adagba expressed deep gratitude and deemed it necessary to return thanks to God.

She extended her appreciation to Governor Hyacinth Alia for entrusting her with this critical role and pledged her unwavering loyalty to his administration’s policies aimed at fostering development across the state.

She also paid tribute to her mother, Lydia, and her siblings for their steadfast support throughout her life. She appealed to the church community to continue praying for her, seeking divine wisdom to effectively fulfill her responsibilities as SUBEB Chairman.

The Chairman of the occasion, Denise Akura, who is also the Special Adviser to the Governor on the Bureau of Local Government, lauded Dr. Adagba for her humility and dedication. He likened her gratitude to the biblical account of the one leper who returned to thank Jesus after being healed, highlighting her exemplary act of thanksgiving.

Akura commended Adagba’s remarkable efforts in revitalizing basic education in Benue State and encouraged her to persist in her commendable work.
