Ekiti State Commissioner for Information, Taiwo Olatunbosun, has emphasized the vital role of alumni in supporting their alma maters to complement government efforts in education.

Speaking at the inauguration of a 25-member Central Planning Committee for the 50th anniversary of Igbemo Community Comprehensive High School, tagged “The Great Re-Union,” he urged old students to give back to their former schools.

As chairman of the newly formed committee, Olatunbosun reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to providing a conducive learning environment and improving the quality of education. He also expressed readiness to collaborate with individuals, corporate organizations, and multinationals to achieve these goals.

The committee includes Alhaji Kola Bakare as secretary, Prof. Afolabi Ojo as alternate chairman, Deacon Joseph Anifowose as publicity secretary, Mrs. Becky Jegede as national treasurer, and Otunba Sunday Akingbade as national secretary in charge of mobilization, among others.
