The Founder of Crescent University, Ogun State, Prince Abdul Jabbar Bola Ajibola, has died.
Ajibola, who was a former judge at the International Court of Justice in The Hague, Netherlands and a former Nigerian attorney general, passed away at the age of 89.
Ajibola passed away at midnight on Saturday following a protracted illness brought on by advancing age.
The eldest child of the late jurist, Segun Ajibola, SAN, disclosed this in a statement, on Sunday in Abeokuta.
He wrote, “With a very deep heart and gratitude to Almighty Allah.
“Our Dad, Prince Bola Ajibola, departed this world over midnight. May Almighty Allah bless him with Aljanah Firdaus.”
Bola Ajibola was Attorney-General of the Nigerian Federation between September 12, 1985 through December 4, 1991.
He succeed Chike Offodile (1984-1985) who himself succeeded Richard Akinjide (1979-1983) and Ajibola was succeed by Clement Akpamgbo (1991-1993) who himself was succeeded by Olu Onagoruwa (November 1993 – September 1994).
Bola Ajibola, today, was a renowned world class figure having served as World Court Judge at The Hague.
He was also the Nigerian High Commissioner to the United Kingdom just like he was Vice President of the World Bank, New York, in the United States of America.
