FUTA Alumnus, Titus Olukitibi, Bags PhD from Canadian University

An Alumnus of the Department of Microbiology at the Federal University of Technology Akure (FUTA) , Class of 2012, who graduated with a First Class Degree, Titus Olukitibi has successfully completed his PhD in Virology, Immunology, Medical Microbiology, and Infectious Diseases from the prestigious University of Manitoba in Canada.

An Alumnus of the Department of Microbiology at the Federal University of Technology Akure (FUTA) , Class of 2012, who graduated with a First Class Degree, Titus Olukitibi has successfully completed his PhD in Virology, Immunology, Medical Microbiology, and Infectious Diseases from the prestigious University of Manitoba in Canada.

Olukitibi , who also completed his master’s degree with distinction in FUTA , focused on the Characterization and development of viral vaccines against influenza, HIV, and SARS-CoV-2 using a Nobel DC Targeting Strategy.

Additionally, his work has led to the publication of 11 Research Papers in several International Journals and the Receipt of numerous Full Scholarships, including the 2023 PhD Basic Health Science Major Research Award and the 2023 Gold Award for Poster Presentation at the International College of Academic Medicine amongst others.

Furthermore, Dr. Titus Olukitibi has diversified his expertise by obtaining a certificate in Mobile and Online Church Ministry from Faith Leeds University and the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), where he excelled as one of the Best Graduating Students.
