itel and Niger Delta University (NDU) in Amassoma, Bayelsa State have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).
This was disclosed by Oke Umurhohwo, the West Africa Marketing Manager at itel. He disclosed this via his LinkedIn page on Wednesday December 6, 2023.
The recently sealed MOU, according to the regional manager, signifies the establishment of the inaugural itel Club in Nigeria, situated within the prestigious NDU.
The itel club, a convergence of technology, social interaction, and academic pursuits, stands as a pioneering initiative in the country.
Umurhohwo expressed his enthusiasm for the project, which has been a personal undertaking throughout the year.
The collaboration between itel and NDU aims to empower students by providing them with knowledge, skills, and valuable opportunities within the ever-evolving tech landscape.
The itel Club is envisioned as a dynamic platform that goes beyond traditional academic boundaries.
He stated that “The club will serve as a hub for students to explore and engage in various aspects of technology, social activities, and academic discourse.”
“This groundbreaking partnership marks the commencement of a transformative journey that is poised not only to impact NDU profoundly but also to pave the way for the establishment of itel Clubs on campuses nationwide,” he said.
The collaboration aligns with itel’s commitment to supporting education and fostering a tech-savvy community.
As the first of its kind, the itel Club at NDU is expected to become a focal point for students seeking to broaden their horizons and excel in the dynamic field of technology.
The MOU signing ceremony was attended by key representatives from both itel and NDU, underscoring the significance of this strategic alliance.
