The Governor of Kebbi State, Nasir Idris, has approved the release of N585.4 million for the payment of tuition fees for 100 students of Kebbi origin studying in various universities in India.

The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the announcement was made by the Commissioner for Higher Education, Alhaji Isah Abubakar-Tunga, during a press conference held in Birnin Kebbi on Monday.

According to the commissioner, the decision underscores the state government’s dedication to fostering academic and moral excellence in the tertiary education sector.

He called on citizens to support the administration with prayers for its continued success in advancing education and other developmental initiatives.
