Alex Onyia, CEO of Educare, has shared an exciting update on the academic journey of Treasure Okegbola, a determined student from Lagos, who is set to explore opportunities at top United States universities.
Onyia took to X to announce that the scholarship application process for five prestigious U.S. universities has been completed for Okegbola, marking a significant milestone in her educational aspirations.
“We have completed the scholarship application to 5 US universities for Treasure Okegbola. WES evaluation and also WAEC transcript has been completed too,” Onyia posted, celebrating the hard work that went into securing her potential academic future abroad.
Treasure, who attended a public school in Lagos, has not only relied on her academic performance but also her personal effort and determination to pave the way for her success.
With an impressive SAT score of 1450 on her first attempt, Onyia hailed it as an “outstanding score,” emphasizing the remarkable dedication and perseverance shown by the young scholar. “She scored 1450 on her first SAT attempt and that’s an outstanding score. She attended a public school in Lagos but her personal effort and determination paved a way for her,” Onyia said.
While Okegbola has already received an offer of admission from the University of Lagos (Unilag), the possibility of studying in the U.S. remains a strong contender.
“By January a decision will be made and hopefully she will further her education in the US,” Onyia shared, looking forward to what lies ahead for the bright student.
Onyia further emphasized that studying abroad would offer Okegbola more global opportunities, which could expand her horizons post-graduation. “Studying abroad will expose her to more global opportunities after her studies,” he added.
